While our portfolio highlights the major challenges we've tackled, it only tells part of the story. Capturing the full scope of our work is nearly impossible—the thousands of intricate details, unseen problem-solving, and meticulous craft that bring each project from a bold idea to a seamless reality happen behind the scenes.

South Africa: Where the Teamwork Began

In October 2022, the seeds of what would become The 950 Mindset were planted during a transformative charity project in South Africa. The mission was ambitious: assemble a dedicated team on short notice to construct a school for a local community, with every volunteer tasked with raising funds for both their flights and the necessary building materials.

  • The Visionary: Pete Baldwin, a long time champion of the South Africa project, spearheaded the initiative. Leveraging his network and rallying support, Pete secured funding for team flights and turned a daunting endeavour into a reality.

  • Building a Foundation: Beyond the physical construction of the school, the project served as a powerful masterclass in collaboration, trust, and shared purpose.

  • Key Connections: The trip forged lifelong bonds, including the meeting with Paul Hansen, who would become a vital partner in the major challenges that followed.

While running and London Marathon training were already underway, South Africa provided a different kind of lesson. It wasn't about miles, endurance, or medals—it proved what good people can accomplish when pulling in the same direction. Before the 950 miles and the massive endurance feats, there was simply a group of individuals who went out as volunteers and returned as a unified team.
